October is shaping up to be one of Ladera Ranch’s busiest community months. Here are four dates to put on the calendar.
Enchanted Moss Witch Hat Workshop — October 13
The Create & Connect series returns on Tuesday, October 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse.
Participants will use preserved moss, dried flowers and natural materials to create a decorative witch hat. The workshop is designed as a social, hands-on evening, and registration requires a LaderaLife resident login.
Halloween Home Decorating Contest — October 15–28
Ladera’s Halloween decorations are practically a community attraction of their own. This year’s decorating contest runs from Thursday, October 15, through Wednesday, October 28.
Watch LaderaLife for current entry, voting and interactive-map details. Even if you are not entering, the eventual map can make an easy neighborhood evening out.
Harvest Festival — October 17
The Harvest Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, from noon to 3 p.m.
This is one of Ladera’s larger fall gatherings and a good date to reserve for an afternoon with neighbors. Event offerings can change from year to year, so check the official listing for current information about activities, food, registration and any ticketed portions.
Teen Movie Night and Haunted Maze — October 24
Ladera teens get their own Halloween event on Saturday, October 24, from 7 to 10 p.m.
The evening combines a movie with a haunted maze and is listed at the Oak Knoll Village Clubhouse. Families should review the official event page for age or grade requirements, guest rules and registration information.
October fills up quickly, so it is worth checking availability early—especially for resident workshops and events that require advance registration.
